ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTIONS
FOR ALL OF GEORGIA
Most people understand that mediation, an alternative to litigation in resolving disputes, is a calm environment that is less costly, less bureaucratic and less anxiety-provoking than going to trial. But mediation has another powerful advantage as well. It allows the parties in dispute to retain control of the process. In court, a judge runs the trial, and the jury can often be swayed by the drama of a case. In addition to being drawn out and expensive, then, trials can be high-risk situations. Mediation, when parties end in agreement, produces finality and closure. The claimant goes back to his or her life, and the defendant can close the book on that particular problem. As one insurance lawyer put it, “A closed file is a good file.” Mediated Resolutions is committed to closing the file and helping you move forward.
