Burt Tillman formed Mediated Resolutions, LLC in 2008 as Mediated Dispute Resolutions, LLC. He has been a certified mediator and arbitrator by the State of Georgia Office of ADR since 2006. Burt is a graduate of Emory University and the University of Georgia School of Law. He is originally from Valdosta, Georgia, where his father practiced law for over 50 years.
Burt practiced in the area of insurance defense for over 11 years working in the areas of workers’ compensation, tort defense and arson defense in State and Federal Courts before forming Tillman & Associates PC in 1991 specializing in Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury Litigation and Social Security Disability claims. He has served as the Chairman of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Atlanta Bar Association and has been a frequent speaker on workers’ compensation issues, effective mediation techniques and ethics in practice.
Burt is an avid supporter of Kids’ Chance and has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Boy Choir traveling through Europe and the U.S. with the organization. Burt mediates statewide and locally at the request of the parties and has assisted in the successful resolution of hundreds of cases in the tort and workers’ compensation arenas.
